Ha studiato il pianoforte e la composizione con Lya De Barberiis e Nazario C. Bellandi, successivamente l’organo e il clavicembalo con C. Ferrero, B. van Asperen, Pierre Hantaï, Antonio Frigè e Christophe Rousset. Si è esibito come solista ed in ensemble in festival e stagioni concertistiche in Italia, in Francia, in Norvegia e negli USA. Ha organizzato ed è stato direttore artistico dei festival internazionali “Trebantiqua” e “Barocc’a primavera” e attualmente è direttore dell’Ensemble Musae Jovis, col quale si esibisce nel Lazio e in Umbria. Cura edizioni di inediti musicali per Armelin Musica e Musedita, è autore di musiche vocali e strumentali eseguite in Italia e negli USA e ha inciso per la Tactus. Giuseppe Schinaia è docente di statistica presso la “Sapienza”, Università di Roma.
Born in Rome, started his music studies of piano and composition at the Rome Conservatory of Music and later turned to early music, under the guidance of C. Ferrero, B. van Asperen, P. Hantai A. Frigè and C. Rousset. He has extensively performed in Italy, France, Norway and the US both in recitals and ensembles as a soloist and continuo player. He is author of vocal and instrumental music, has published editions of French early music for both Musedita and Armelin Musica and has recorded for Tactus label. Giuseppe Schinaia is currently tenured professor of mathematics and statistics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
